Welkom op mijn site! Onderwerp van mijn werk is Nederland van boven. Het Nederlandse landschap in luchtfoto's met Hollandse iconen als de Afsluitdijk, de Maeslantkering, de Deltawerken. Maar ook Betuweroute, HSL, windmolenparken en de Wadden eilanden. Er staan meer dan 30.000 luchtfoto’s online, door middel van de zoekfunctie kunt u direct het online-archief raadplegen (zie het menu). Ook het project TIME and TIDE staat op de site. De voormalige Zuiderzee, nu IJsselmeer en Markermeer, herbergt anno 21e eeuw hoogtepunten van de Nederlandsche waterbouw: Afsluitdijk, Houtribdijk, Trintelzand, en de aangelegde (!) eilanden van de Markerwadden. ➔ The former Zuiderzee, now the IJsselmeer and Markermeer, is home to the highlights of Dutch hydraulic engineering in the 21st century: Afsluitdijk, Houtribdijk, Trintelzand, an archipelago of constructed islands the Markerwadden.

Jubileum (2008-2018)! De Afsluitdijk is gedurende tien jaar in allerlei verschillende weersomstandigheden gefotografeerd. In mysterieus mistig weer of met extreem goed zicht - de volledige 32 kilometer dijk in beeld, vanuit Noord-Holland tot de Friese kust. En in omgekeerde richting natuurlijk ook. Hier gepresenteerd een s e l e c t i e voor meer beeld, gebruik de zoekfunctie. Vanaf 2019 wordt de dijk der dijken 'verbouwd'. ➔ Jubilee (2008-2018)! The dam has been photographed over a period of ten years and in a variety of weather conditions. Mysterious fog and fume alternating with with extremely good visibility: the full 32 kilometers from North-Holland to the Frisian coast. And, of course, also in the opposite direction. Renovation of the dike of Dikes has started in 2019.

Waddenzee Een selectie van luchtfoto's van de Waddeneilanden en de Waddenzee. De Wadden maken deel uit van het Unesco werelderfgoed. Wadden Sea Coastal area in the North of the Netherlands, part of UNESCO's World Heritage. Famous for its islands and mudflats. A selection.

Logboek over een persoonlijke ontdekkingsreis langs de Nederlandse kust, weerslag van omzwervingen langs de kustlijn bij storm, eb en vloed, bij nacht en ontij, invallende duisternis of opkomende zon. Een fotografisch dagboek genoteerd in zwart-wit. De weidsheid en leegte van de kust gevat in panorama’s, vastgelegd tegen de achtergrond van de dreigende zeespiegelstijging,langs de kust van de Noordzee, de Waddenzee en de (voormalige) Zuiderzee. Finisterre, ook wel schetsenderwijs Time and tide deel twee, is het vervolg van het project Time and tide maar nu buiten Nederland, langs de Europese kusten. Maar niet alleen de locaties zijn anders, ook de fotografische benadering laat een andere aanpak zien. Als eerste, er wordt niet langer uitsluitend in zwart-wit gewerkt maar overwegend in kleur. Ten tweede zijn de samengestelde en zeer langwerpige panorama’s verleden tijd. Als er nog ‘pano’s’ gemaakt worden hebben deze de uit de analoge fotografie bekende verhouding 6 x 17 (Xpan). En last but not least heeft de fotografie met de drone zijn entree gedaan. Work in progress, uit de periode najaar 2021 - winter 2022. But not only the locations are different, the photographic approach is also different approach. First, I no longer work exclusively in black and white, but predominantly in color. Secondly, the composed (and very elongated) panoramas are a thing of the past. If 'panos' are still made, they have the ratio 6 x 17 (Xpan), known from analog photography.
